Cold Comfort...

Wrapped in the warmth

Of the blankety cocoon

To ward off the chill

That the morning beckons

He sleeps like a tortoise

Withdrawn in its shell...

He snores, he snorts

And he yelps like hell!!

He chases the butterflies

All over the meadow

He trips & he flips

Trailed by his shadow

In his doggy dream...

He pants & he stretches

Lolling in the grass

Which he always messes...!!!!

My Fawn, fur ball...

He crept into my life… as big as the palm of my hand
A fawn coloured bundle of fur…
With a black button nose and thick black padded toes…
Ears, the colour of toffee…
Twinkling pair of intelligent, brown eyes
A pink lolling tongue & glistening white teeth…

An ever wagging tail ....completed his whole look…

His capacity to love ... even then... surpassed his size!!
