For My Papa..

He was not there when I was born,
But he made up for that, without a frown.
He is the anchor, that keeps me tethered,
He is the harbour, that keeps me sheltered.
He gives me strengh, when I feel weak,
He gives the support, when I feel the need.
He taught me how to change a tube,
He showed me how to repair a fuse. He taught me how to screw a bolt,
He always gave a hand to hold.
He showed me how to bake a cake,
He told me gently to avoid the 'rake'!!
He showed me how a 'Jumbo' worked,
He was always there to see me tucked.
He took me sailing the whole world through...
Father dear, what would I do without you.

I totally second that!!! Without Dad's patience we would be less than what we are and universally applies more so to our dads as they had to endure us for crying out loud!!!
