KOLKATA (Part 7) An Uncommon Sight...

The City Of Joy.. does draw its share of visitors, I must say....
Any tourist visiting India cannot miss out on this city... no matter how much we crib.. rant & rave about its present political & socio-economic mess!!!

While returning home from office in the evening, a strange sight met my eyes... I saw a bike with our National flag tied to the back-rest, (which in yellow light of the sodium lamp ... I mistook for a Trinamul Party Flag...) thinking it to be one of the so called party worker's bike.... I was walking away...
But then it struck me... the unusual size of the bike.... The rider with a hat... on closer look, as the rider got off the bike I realised that he was a foreigner... and though he was riding alone... he had company.... There was a foreign looking car stand just behind his bike...
Photo-holic that I am... I was dying take a photograph...I went upto the guy and asked him for permission... he smilingly obliged...
By then however... the bike had attracted alot of attention... and people thronged to see it...
On seeing, the fact that I had taken out my tiny digicam to take photographs, a lot of people to out their mobile cameras to capture the moment....
A closer look at the Monster...!!!!

He is from Kazakhtan....They were out on a world tour... the flags on the front of the bike... denoting the countries already travelled...

The Man And the Machine...
While leaving, in true fashion of playing to the gallery... the rider showed a few more things... which had the crowd (especialy the men...) gaping in wide-mouthed wonder.... He pressed a switch & the wind-shield in front came down .... like it does in a power window... He then switched on the music system on the bike... people were actually looking around to understand where the sound came from... It could give any of our car audio sytems a run for their money....

His wife & son followed him in a Land-Rover... (By the way ladies... he had a cute son by the name of 'Sasha'...)
